Time to Go Speed of Light

A little FYI for our radio listeners, we may be on and off for the next couple days while they install FIOS at our headquarters. (it’s fun using corporate speak) It’s just one measure to decrease our bills. They claim we’ll get better bandwidth for less money, so we’ll see. I’ll let you know when it’s all hooked up.

I’m adding a bunch of new music to CatholicJukebox.com Radio. I’m always trying to grow the playlist. And don’t forget, everything that is in our playlist is on the request pages, and you can put a song directly into the play queue.

A word about adding Christian artists to CatholicJukebox.com Radio: From the beginning we have added a small percentage of non Catholic artists to CJR. The website and radio were started because CCM radio had a written policy of no Catholic artists. We wanted a place where Catholics could be heard, but we didn’t want to set the same restrictions. Many local youth bands play P&W covers, and there is so much that we can learn from the Christian music market about solid production, and fan interaction. I try to always make sure the songs don’t go against the Catholic beliefs, but are rather basic Christianity. If something slipped past me, just send me an email at george at catholicjukebox.com

A New Wedding Song

This is a new wedding song from Critical Mass ( http://www.CatholicRock.com ). The song is called “Devotion” and tracks/sheet music can be made available by emailing dwang@uwaterloo.ca . It can be used as a duet where the first verse is sung by a woman and the second verse by a man. For more music, go to www.myspace.com/CatholicRock.

Catholic Jukebox Radio - What Can We Do For You?

live365 Logo

In our current state:

  • We have over 3000 songs from over 280 artists in our catalog.
  • We play the Saint of the Day and the daily reading via Verbum Domini.
  • We serve up the files in MP3Pro format for better sound from our own broadcast system running SAM4.
  • We have our catalog on-line so that you can request any song, and it automatically is added to the current play queue.

BUT what else can we do for you? I’m always looking for ways to make the station better. I’m looking for your suggestions on things CatholicJukebox.com Radio could do to make the station even better. What could we do to double the number of listeners? I sure could use your input, and help.

And We’re Back On the Tubes

I’m sure after a lot of hard work, Live365.com was able to fix their server issue, and CatholicJukebox.com radio is back on the air. Thank you Lord.
